To enroll in this course or the Junior Open Water Diver course, you must be 10 years or older. You need adequate swimming skills, need to be in good physical health, and must sign a waiver. No prior experience with scuba diving is required.

What will you need?As a PADI Open Water Diver you will need to purchase the knowledge development course materials, to include the PADI Open Water Diver Crew Pack and DVD.

What will your schedule look like?
- Friday: Classroom session - approximately 4 hours (4pm to 8:30pm) for knowledge development review, four quizzes, and one comprehensive final exam. During this time you will also be fitted for your scuba equipment and take a tour of our retail showroom
- Saturday: Water Day One - approximately 10 hours (8:15am to 6pm) for a 5 module confined water/pool session and your first two open water dives
- Sunday: Water Day Two - approximately 7 hours (7:45am to 2pm) for your last two open water dives
What will Grove Scuba Provide?
- Professional staff members and instructors to guide you through your course
- All the scuba related equipment you need for the duration of the course. To include: buoyancy control device (BCD), regulator set with dive computer, scuba tanks, and weights
- A full retail shop to ensure you have all of the equipment and accessories you need
- Transportation to/from Grove Scuba to our training facility and marina

You can start now by purchasing our PADI Open Water Diver class through our online store or in person. Once purchased, we can schedule your classroom and in-water training sessions.

Alternatively, you can sign up for PADI Open Water Diver Online – PADI’s eLearning option – to get started immediately. The web-based system covers all the Open Water course content and allows you to study at your own pace through an easy-to-use, interactive program. You also have access to an online version of the Open Water Diver Manual.
- Regularly scheduled courses are $550* and includes everything you need to become certified: academic materials provided by Grove Scuba (Open Water Diver Crew Pack), PADI Professional Instructor, classroom session, pool session and all four open water dives (to include related fees), scuba related equipment**, and transportation from Grove Scuba

- PADI eLearning total is $745.95 + tax: $195.95 for the e-learning code plus $550 for the course which includes everything you need to become certified: eLearning online course materials, e-learning enhancement pack materials, PADI Professional Instructor, quick-review session, pool session and all four open water dives (to include related fees), scuba related equipment*, and transportation from Grove Scuba. You will need to purchase both the code and the course for certification.
