Chadwick Johnson
PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer
I started diving when I was 11 years old, It all started because my dad let me use his dive gear in the pool, and needless to say I was hooked!!! Also my best friend, whose father was my fathers good friend and dive buddy, wanted to get certified as well. I Loved it but I never really thought about pursuing a job in the diving field but then a gain I grew up in New York, and did not really dive that much there. I was spoiled from the start I received Junior Open Water in the Bahamas and thereafter did not like diving in the cold ugly waters of New York. Luckily my parents did well for themselves so we were always going to Caribbean locations to go diving. In 2008 I moved to Miami for a change of location and life style. It was not long after I moved to Miami that I wanted to start diving more regularly. I started researching dive shops around Miami that I would want to dive with. It did not take long before after diving with Grove Scuba that I started working here and the rest is history.

David Villegas
PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer I was born in the island of Margarita, Venezuela and I have always been involved in water sports. Since I can remember I always loved to go snorkeling, it was not until I was 10 when I started diving with the boat captains in the marina near my home. In 2000 I moved to Miami where I have always remained involved in watersports and it wasn’t till 2008 when a friend told me that there was a scuba shop near his house. He told me that we should get certified so we could go on dive trips. From the first Class I became hooked, I went from my Open water to my Rescue Diver in a month. I kept on diving as a Rescue Diver Till 2010 when I decided I wanted to get my instructor certification here at Grove Scuba. Thankfully I was offered a Job here; I have to say I enjoy working and diving with the gang!!
Reason for Teaching:
“Scuba Diving has become my passion, and I want to pass my passion along to as many people as I can. Scuba Diving is a fun sport, it is a great way to blow off steam and meet new people. Pura Vida!!”

Jeff Birdsell
PADI Open Water Instructor
Dive Professional History: Diving for 18 years, I like many fell in love with the idea of scuba diving at the age of 8 watching the old Jacque Cosuteau tv show, and then trying to develope my own scuba apparatus using straws, plastic bags and scotch tape. Since then I've upgraded my equipment somewhat but the iniitail thrill and sense of wonder has remained.
Reason for Teaching: I've always found that when you love doing something you want to share that love with others.
Best Diving Experience: Nothing like the first time.

Terese Britt
PADI IDC Staff Instructor
Dive Professional History: Terese has been diving for 17 years now. She became a dive instructor in 2007. Terese received her instructor training at Utila Dive Center in Utila, Honduras. She has taught in Honduras, The USVI, and Miami.
Reason for Teaching: Terese loves to show others her passion in life, diving. She enjoys teaching others how to be safe, responsible divers who treat the delicate ocean ecosystem with respect and responsibility.
Best Diving Experience: "I can't name just one. Was it the 45 foot whale shark in Honduras? What about the Humback whale in Hawaii? Then there was the tiny juvenile trunkfish on a wreck in the USVI, and the clownfish protecting his anemone in Fiji. The 12 foot lemon shark in Tahiti was cool too, and so was the spunky damselfish in Cozumel. I guess the best part is that I can have fun where ever there is water deep enough to blow bubbles!"
